A. Rules
The regatta will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing
B. Eligibility and Entry
The regatta is open to all boats. Expected classes will be Catalina 22s, San Juan 21s and open Portsmouth fleet. Open
Portsmouth fleet will use the D-pn rating.
5 paid entries of the same boat type will constitute a class. Fleet assignments and starts may be adjusted at the discretion of
the Race Committee.

C. Fees
The Regatta fee will be $60.00, Post-race Sunday cookout included. Morning coffee and post-race snacks will be provided.
There will not be a provided meal Saturday.
D. Schedule
Saturday March 7
Registration from 8 to 10:30 am. At the LMSA Clubhouse
Competitor’s Meeting 11am
Warning signal 11:55 for buoy racing, weather permitting/ final decision by RC
Sunday March 8
Warning signal at 9:55 for Distance race, weather permitting/ final decision by RC
No races will be started after 2 pm.
Awards, Trophies and cookout to follow racing
E. Venue
The Regatta will be held on Lake Monroe, Sanford Florida. Regatta headquarters will be the LMSA Clubhouse. The Regatta will
combine a day of buoy racing and the traditional around the lake Trans Monroe distance race on the other. The order of the
races will be determined by the weather conditions.
F. Sailing Instructions
Sis for the buoy races will consist of the format provided in Appendix S of the RRS, Standard Sailing Instructions. The Sis for
the distance race will be available the morning of the race. Any additional instructions will be posted on the Official Notice
Board located outside of the LMSA Clubhouse.
G. Communications
Competitors will use VHF Channel 69 for on the water communication. No outside communication not available to all boats in
the regatta will be permitted. This include radio or cell phone use.
H. Schedule of Races
Saturday, either buoy race, weather permitting/ final decision by RC
Sunday, distance race, weather permitting/ final decision by RC
I. Scoring
Appendix A of the RRS will be used for Regatta scoring. All races will be included. Each buoy race will count as a single score
And the distance race will count as 2 scores.
1 completed race will constitute a regatta.
J. Race Conduct
Class flags will be announced at the Competitor’s meeting
Race courses will be posted on the Notice Board
Official course marks and safety boats will be identified at the Competitor’s meeting.
K. Risk Statement
RRS sailing rule #3 applies. The responsibility for a boat’s decision to participate in or continue in a race is hers alone. A
release form must be signed for each boat in the Regatta.
L. Prizes
Trophies will awarded in the following way.
Fleets of 5 Boats, top 2 places
Fleets of more than 5 boats, top 3 places
Distance Race: The Trans Monroe McVay Trophy for First monohull
The Trans Monroe Multihull Trophy for First multihull
