Trans-Monroe Regatta

2024 Trans-Monroe!

36th Annual Trans Monroe Regatta

April 6th, 2024

Every Spring, sailors from around the country converge on Lake Monroe to compete against each other in a circumnavigation of the lake. This is the Trans-Monroe!

This one day event is hosted by the Lake Monroe Sailing Association and is in honor of G.W. McVay. Bill McVay built the Victoria 18 in Debary and sold them at Strictly Sail, where today the Lake Monroe Sailing Association calls home. After sailing, hang out at LMSA for conviviality, which is a great place to hear all the sailing stories of the day.

The winner of the Trans Monroe will receive the Bill McVay Perpetual Trophy.”
